Handwritten letter to Aaron Burr, in full: “I return the Bond & Mortgage, not finding it so easy as I helped to dispose of them — I hope you will find it convenient to pay the amount shortly, to my friend here, with whom the mortgage is left — Mr. Clark of Pearl Street.” Double-matted and framed with an engraved portrait of Webster to an overall size of 16.75 x 13.75; window to reverse of frame backing reveals the recipient’s name, “Aaron Burr Esqr.” In fine condition.
