Handwritten lyrics by Noel Gallagher for the Oasis song ‘Roll with It,’ unsigned, no date, penned in black ballpoint on an off-white 5.25 x 8 notebook sheet. The lyrics, in full: “You gotta roll with it / You gotta take your time / You gotta say what you say / Don't let anybody get in your way / 'Cause its all too much for me to take / Don't ever stand aside / Don't ever be denied / You wanna be who you'd be / If you're coming with me / I think I've got a feeling I've lost inside / I think I'm gonna take me away and hide / I'm thinking of things that I can't abide / I know the roads down which your life will drive / I’ll find the key that lets you slip inside / Kiss the girl she's not behind the door / But you know I think I recognize your face / But I've never seen you before / I think I’ve got a feeling / I’ve lost inside / take me away.” Gallagher begins to title the song but loses ink flow halfway through. Double-matted with a photo of Oasis to an overall size of 18 x 12. In fine condition. ‘Roll with It’ was released as the second single from Oasis’s second studio album, (What's the Story) Morning Glory? on August 14, 1995. The song became involved in a highly publicized chart battle with Blur's single ‘Country House’ dubbed ‘The Battle of Britpop,’ with ‘Roll with It’ eventually reaching number two on the UK Singles Chart.
