Drummer and bandleader (1903–1971) known as the 'Father of Swing,' who discovered or employed such greats as Benny Goodman, Jack Teagarden, Glenn Miller, Jimmy McPartland, and Harry James. Vintage glossy 10 x 8 photo of Ben Pollack and his Orchestra, signed in fountain pen by Harry Goodman, Benny Goodman, and Pollack, who writes, "This was taken in 1927, one year before I got my big band by adding more men like Moore & McPartland." All members of the band are labeled in an unknown hand. In very good condition, with three heavy vertical folds, a few other creases, and small tack holes and paper loss to corners.
