Exceptional AQS on a light blue 5.5 x 8.75 sheet, signed at the conclusion, "Arthur Schopenhauer, Frankfurt am Main, June 12th 1855." Schopenhauer pens an optimistic philosophical quote, in full: "Let us hope for the propagation of truth & the abolition of error, in both hemispheres." In fine condition, with a central horizontal fold. An extraordinarily influential philosopher, Schopenhauer's ideas resonated with such diverse scientific and cultural figures as Charles Darwin, Gustav Mahler, Albert Einstein, and Dylan Thomas. Schopenhauer is extremely scarce in autographic material.
