Partly-printed DS as president, one page, 20 x 15.25, July 7, 1908. President Roosevelt appoints James Reagles as "First Lieutenant in the Medical Reserve Corps of the Army of the United States." Signed at the conclusion in ink by President Theodore Roosevelt and countersigned by Secretary of War Luke E. Wright. The blue seal affixed at the lower left remains intact. Impressively cloth-matted and framed with a portrait and plaque to an overall size of 36 x 24.5. In very good to fine condition, with Roosevelt's signature very faded, but still fully legible, and a crease to the lower right corner.
