Maine-born Union major general (1828-1914) who was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for his defense of Little Round Top at Gettysburg. ALS signed “Joshua L. Chamberlain,” one page, 4.75 x 7.25, April 6, 1907. Boldly penned handwritten letter forwarding a report, in part: "I enclose the report of the nominating committee, to enable you to affix your signature." Beautifully cloth-matted and framed with a portrait and biographical caption to an overall size of 23.5 x 22.5. In fine condition.
