DS, one page, 8.5 x 14, August 19, 1955. Document headed "Re: Trapeze," addressed to the Bankers Trust Company, concerning Lancaster's agreement to star in the 1956 circus film. In part: "As an inducement to you to execute the Loan and Security Agreement between Susan Productions, Inc. (hereinafter called 'Producer') and yourselves with respect to the above Picture, I hereby confirm that I have entered into an agreement with Producer to perform my personal services as star of said Picture…I hereby certify that the entire cash compensation payable to me in consideration of the services to be rendered by me as aforesaid is not in excess of $75,000." Signed at the conclusion in fountain pen by Burt Lancaster. In fine condition, with light edge wear.
