Description

Armstrong letter mentioning "Lindbergh's work," having "no 'idols,'" and that he has "been particularly interested in the work of the Wright's"

TLS, one page, 7.75 x 11, University of Cincinnati letterhead, March 28, 1978. Letter to Richard Andrews, in full: “Thank you for your inquiry regarding my research work here at the university. Current efforts are tied up in the investigation of aircraft configuration analysis. The study on diaphragm pump hemolysis (primarily conducted by others) was neither related to nor inspired by Lindbergh's work on the perfusion pump. I have maintained an active interest in aviation history, but have no ‘idols.’ I have, however, been particularly interested in the work of the Wright's.” In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope.
