If not why not, I think there are a hundred thousand people who feel exactly like you and if the message could be put across with the right type of rancid grin it would get through. Anyway, I like them. Try writing a few happy ones.” Townshend adds a postscript: “I know a few people who are after lyrics. If you wish I could show them around a bit. The trouble is, sometimes all that does is give other people ideas, words are very bendable, nevertheless it might start something. (Something you might like I suppose).” In fine condition.
