Partly-printed DS, signed “George R,” one page, 7 x 13, June 29, 1798. King George III appoints Thomas Paget as "Lieutenant in a Troop of Cavalry of the Association of the Inhabitants of the Parishes of Mells, Leigh upon Mendip." Prominently signed at the head in ink by King George III, and countersigned at the conclusion by Home Secretary William Cavendish-Bentinck, 3rd Duke of Portland. In fine condition, with a small repaired tear to the lower left.
