Desirable matte-finish 14 x 11 photo of the Japanese surrender on the USS Missouri on September 2, 1945, signed and inscribed in the lower border in fountain pen, "To Onnie Lattu, Rear Admiral Supply Corps—USN—with best wishes and great appreciation of your contributions to the war effort in the Pacific which made possible the above scene—C. W. Nimitz, Fleet Admiral USN.” Also bears a pre-printed Nimitz signature inherent to the image on the treaty documents seen in the photo. In very good to fine condition, with some damage to the border edges, including chipped corners, all of which could easily matted out to produce an attractive display.
