Impressive first edition of the "Apollo 15 Landing Area" lunar topophotomap (Edition 1, Sheet 41B4S1(50)), featuring the Hadley–Apennine landing site at a scale of 1:50,000, 32.5 x 31, signed in blue felt tip by the commander, "Dave Scott, Apollo 15 CDR." Scott also identifies the site of "Genesis Rock" at Spur crater. Rolled and in fine condition, with light wrinkling. On the Apollo 15 mission, Dave Scott and Jim Irwin conducted three lunar EVAs during which they collected approximately 169 pounds of moon rocks and lunar soil samples, including the famous 'Genesis Rock,' an anorthosite formed in the early stages of the solar system.
