Official Rawlings American League (MacPhail) baseball signed in black felt tip on the sweet spot and side panels by 22 members of the 1984 New York Yankees team, including: Whitey Ford (ss), Dave Righetti (ss), Don Mattingly, Dave Winfield, Ron Guidry, Oscar Gamble, Lou Piniella, Steve Kemp, Bob Shirley, John Montefusco, Willie Randolph, Graig Nettles, Tim Foli, Butch Wynegar, Roy Smalley, Rick Cerone, and others. In fine condition, with light toning over much of the ball. Provenance: the personal collection of Whitey Ford, part of lot 612, Hunt Auctions, July 15, 2008; accompanied by a photocopy of Ford's letter of provenance for the lot.
