Felt tip signature, "John Young,” on an off-white 5 x 1.75 slip featuring a printed inscription: "To Jef Burford, All of us in the Astronaut Office would like to thank you for your special efforts and a job well done during the 51-L accident investigation." The slip is affixed at the top of an 11 x 14 mat featuring a photograph of the ill-fated STS-51L Challenger launch. In very good to fine condition, with stains and creases to the mat. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from Beckett Authentication Services.
