Description

Partly-printed DS, signed “J. Q. Adams,” one page, 6.5 x 3.25, March 24, 1830. Office of the Bank of the United States promissory note, directing the "Cashier of the Office of Bank of the U. States at Boston, One day after sight, pay to the order of Hon. John Q. Adams, three hundred dollars." Endorsed on the reverse in black ink, "Pay to Charles F. Adams, J. Q. Adams," with his son countersigning below, "Chas. Fra. Adams." In very good condition, with a tear and small hole to the bottom, and light show-through on the front from some old mounting remnants on the back.
