Letter to Acting Assistant Surgeon John Mathews of the U.S. Navy, in full: "In consequence of your ill health, you are hereby detached from the Gem of the Seas, and a leave of absence is granted you for thirty days at the expiration of which time you will report by letter to the Department." In fine condition.
