Civil War-dated manuscript document endorsed by two senior officers of the Confederate States Army, “Approved, T. C. Hindman, Br. Gen. Comdg” and “App’d, W. J. Hardee, Major General,” penned on the reverse docketing panel of a military quarterly wage list, one page, 9.75 x 15, December 25, 1861. Thomas C. Hindman and William J. Hardee sign to approve an “Estimate of Funds Required for the pay of the Troops Composing 1st Brigade 1st Division Central Army of the Ky of which Capt. W. H. Goran is Quartermaster from August 31st 1861 to December 31st 1861, being four months.” The lower portion is signed by Goran. In fine condition, with slight splitting along the folds.
