Vintage pencil signature, “Yours sincerely, G. Marconi, 1915,” on the reverse of an off-white 2.75 x 1.5 personal calling card belonging to Edgar C. Penny. In fine condition. Accompanied by its original collector’s envelope annotated “Marconi’s signature, on SS St. Paul, May 1915.” The SS St Paul, an American transatlantic ocean liner, is closely associated with Marconi. It was aboard the ship that Marconi transmitted the first communication to shore using wireless in 1899.
