Description

DS, one page, 6 x 8, September 24, 1931. Legislative document signed by Franklin Roosevelt as governor of New York, in full: "We, the undersigned, hereby certify that we will recommend to the next Legislature an additional appropriation of $10,000 for the purpose of providing funds for the Insurance Department for services and expenses to proceed with the examination of various Mutual Casualty Companies which must be examined before December, when certificates will be issued, including interest on loans." Boldly signed at the conclusion in fountain pen by Governor Franklin D. Roosevelt, and countersigned by Charles J. Hewitt as chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, and by Eberly Hutchinson as chairman of the Ways and Means Committee. Attractively matted and framed with an image of FDR signing a bill to an overall size of 23 x 14. In fine condition.
