In very good to fine condition, with toning and short edge tears to the dust jackets, and cracking the inner front spine of the second volume; both have Unruh's personal bookplate applied to the first free end page. A California Democrat, Unruh served as speaker of the California State Assembly and as the California State Treasurer.
