In fine condition, with expected wear from use. Accompanied by the original shipping box hand-addressed to Andy Gore by Johnny Ramone, who has affixed his personal return address label with his given name, “John Cummings,” to the upper left-hand corner.
Few could compete with the generosity of Johnny Ramone, who, according to Gore, was always sending him rare items to help fill his ever-growing Ramones collection. ‘One day I went to my mailbox and lo and behold there was a shipping box from none other than my old pal, Johnny Ramone. I carefully opened the box and discovered Johnny's well-worn tennis shoes that he autographed and dated for me. When I called him on the phone to thank him, I asked him how long he had had the shoes. He said he couldn't remember but that he had had them for years and had played hundreds of shows wearing these exact pair of shoes!’
