Character actor (1879-1961) best remembered as the mad scientist Dr. Pretorius in The Bride of Frankenstein. Vintage glossy 3.5 x 5.5 postcard photo of the great English stage and film actor in up-close profile, signed in fountain pen, "Yours sincerely, Ernest Thesiger." The reverse is postmarked at Newcastle upon Tyne on February 17, 1940. In very good to fine condition, with light postal impressions, visible at an angle.
