Financier and banker John Pierpont Morgan (1837-1913) is remembered for dominating corporate finance on Wall Street throughout the Gilded Age as head of the banking firm now known as J.P. Morgan & Co. Partly-printed DS, signed “Pierpont Morgan,” one page, 17.25 x 9, July 12, 1888. A certificate issued by the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railway Company to Kuhn, Loeb and Company and Drexel, Morgan and Company for "Ten of its First Mortgage Extension and Collateral Bonds." Endorsed on the reverse by J. P. Morgan as a trustee. In fine condition.
