"From my Apollo X notebook, Gordon Cooper, B. U. CDR"

Desirable group of Gordon Cooper's personal papers pertaining to the Apollo 10 mission, for which he served as backup commander. The lot is highlighted by two items signed by both Gordon Cooper and Apollo 10 CDR Tom Stafford. Includes:

- MSC Internal Note No. 69-FM-123, "Apollo 10 Spacecraft Dispersion Analysis, Vol. V, G&N Landing Error Dispersions," May 13, 1969, signed on the front cover in ink, "From my Apollo X notebook, Gordon Cooper, B. U. CDR," and "Tom Stafford, CDR." The six-page document covers potential guidance and control problems during the Apollo 10 spacecraft's return to Earth.

- MSC Internal Note No. 69-FM-143, "Apollo 10 Spacecraft Dispersion Analysis, Vol. VI, Dispersion Summary," May 13, 1969, signed on the front cover in ink, "From my Apollo X notebook, Gordon Cooper, B. U. CDR," and "Tom Stafford, CDR." The 32-page document summarizes all major flight events, describing possible errors and problems at each stage.

- NASA Technical Memorandum TM X-58041, "Reentry Targeting Philosophy and Flight Results from Apollo 10 and 11," March 1970, signed on the front cover in blue felt tip, "Tom Stafford, Apollo X CDR." The 25-page report discusses use of the Command Module as the reentry vehicle, covering guidance, targeting, control, and monitoring.

- MSC Internal Note No. 69-FM-138, "Apollo 10 (Mission F) (AS-505 / CSM-106 / LM-4), Spacecraft Dispersion Analysis, Addendum to Vol. 1 - Navigation Error Analysis," May 14, 1969, describing the navigation accuracy analysis of the lunar orbit phase for Apollo 10. Unsigned.
