The entire Indian people mourned his passing away, as both he and his wife had endeared themselves by their understanding of and sympathy for Indian problems and their dedicated service. They were both rather wonderful people and personal friends of our family.” In very good to fine condition, with scattered toning, splitting along the intersecting folds, and a rough left edge. Accompanied by a transmittal letter from Gandhi's private secretary, R. K. Goel, for an earlier, unrelated letter.
