Italian patriot and soldier (1807-1882) best known for leading the attack of the 'Red Shirts' on Sicily in 1860. Uncommon 2.5 x 4 carte-de-visite photo of the Italian patriot, neatly signed and inscribed on the mount in ink, "Miss Nicholson, G. Garibaldi." Affixed to a slightly larger sheet which bears an 1867 date notation. In fine condition, with trimmed edges.
