Description

"I personally never penetrate into the gambling rooms. As a matter of fact, no Monegasque is permitted to gamble in Monte-Carlo"

TLS signed “Grace de Monaco,” one page, 8.25 x 10.5, personal letterhead, November 12, 1975. Letter to needlepoint designer Leslie Tillett, in part: "Thank you very much for the copy of your book bout needlepoint that I enjoy very much having and I am looking forward to reading. I regret very much to be unable to accept to write the foreword of your new book, 'Casino Collection.' Our family has no direct connection with the Casino itself and I personally never penetrate into the gambling rooms. As a matter of fact, no Monegasque is permitted to gamble in Monte-Carlo. Because of this, I feel it is inappropriate for me to write the foreword of this book." In fine condition.
