Description

Powerful French soldier and diplomat (1597-1650) who was a Marshal of France and brother-in-law of Cardinal Richelieu. Rare ALS in French, signed "Brézé," three pages on two adjoining sheets, 7.75 x 11.25, July 3, 1641. Untranslated handwritten letter concerning a military mission. In fine condition, with minor chipping to the left edge, a few collector's pencil notations, and rusty circular paperclip impressions to the top.
