During WWII he advanced several peace proposals, did much to aid war victims, and, following the war, maintained a staunch anti-Communist stand. Apostolic blessing, signed "Pius pp. XII," one page, 10.75 x 15.25, October 14, 1949. A handsome, hand-tinted apostolic blessing for Mr. and Mrs. Barry Spelts, featuring an ornate and illuminated calligraphic inscription and an affixed circular photo of Pius. In fine condition.
