American jazz pianist (1912-1986) whose work was featured on the records of many of the biggest names in jazz, including Louis Armstrong, Lena Horne, Benny Goodman, Billie Holiday, and Ella Fitzgerald. With Goodman, he was one of the first black musicians to appear prominently with white musicians. Glossy 8 x 10 publicity photo of Teddy Wilson in close-up, signed and inscribed in black ballpoint, "To Milan, with best wishes to a fine musician, Teddy Wilson." In fine condition, with fading to the handwriting, which remains entirely legible.
