Sammy Sosa's game-used official Louisville Slugger R161 'Sammy Sosa' personal-model baseball bat, 34 inches and 34 ounces, signed and certified on the barrel in silver ink, "Sammy Sosa, Game Used 2002, Career Home Run 451." The black bat is partially cracked on the handle and boasts Sosa's trademark thickly wrapped knob. In very good to fine condition, with significant signs of use including the cracked handle, numerous surface chips and dings, and various marks and scuffs. Sosa led the National League in home runs in 2002, finishing the year with 49. Accompanied by a letter of provenance signed by Sosa, certifying it as a home run bat.
