You saw lean years for education under previous Republican Administrations and gave us the Full Funding Committee. In many ways the challenges have never been greater than those now presented to us by an Administration that has vowed to dismantle everything you and I have stood for through the years. But I am confident we can win this struggle if we remember that the principles you've stood for over the years are the same ones that must guide us as we continue the fight to insure a decent and equal education for all our children."
