Letter to Major General Julius Klein regarding his recent election as U.S. Vice President, in full: “Thanks so much for your great telegram. All the Bushes, of course, are thrilled with the results of the election. Hastily, but with deep appreciation ” Bush adds a handwritten postscript: “What a warm wonderful message. Thanks, my friend - George.” In fine condition. Bush wrote this letter 11 days after he was elected as U.S. Vice President under Ronald Reagan. General Julius Klein (1901-84) the letter recipient, served as National Commander of the Jewish War Veterans of the U.S.A., and originated the South Pacific edition of ‘Stars and Stripes’ magazine.
