Description

Businessman and inspector general of the Vermont militia (1851-1926) who married Eliza Osgood Vanderbilt, the daughter of railroad magnate William H. Vanderbilt. Partly-printed DS, signed “W. S. Webb,” one page, 11.75 x 8, April 23, 1899. Stock certificate issued to George B. Wilson for 100 shares in the Wagner Palace Car Company, boldly signed at the conclusion in ink by Webb as the company's president. The certificate boasts gorgeous vignettes of buildings and a railway scene. In fine condition.
