Description

"I'm afraid I don't listen to tapes (even those of friends). I feel it is unfair to comment on the works of other musicians"

TLS, one page, 8.25 x 11.75, Eel Pie Recording letterhead, June 20, 1984. Interesting letter to Tommy Orr, in full: "I think there is some confusion about what I said on the Gloria Hunniford Show a few weeks ago. I'm afraid I don't listen to tapes (even those of friends). I feel it is unfair to comment on the works of other musicians. What I did say was that I welcome manuscripts and poetry from young writers seeking publication of their work. (I am an Editor at Faber & Faber). I'm sorry you were misled. I wish you luck with your musical career and am returning the tape as you requested." In fine condition. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks.
