Description

French statesman (1862-1932) who shared the 1926 Nobel Peace Prize with German Foreign Minister Gustav Stresemann for the realization of the Locarno Treaties, which aimed at reconciliation between France and Germany after World War I. Ink signature in French (translated), "Your persistence has disarmed me, A. Briand," on an off-white 4 x 5.5 stationery sheet imprinted with "Autographe, Collection Alfred Brust." In fine condition, with a few spots of foxing.
