Partly-printed DS as president, signed “Wm. H. Taft,” one page, 13.75 x 19.75, May 13, 1909. President Taft appoints John William Keefe as "First Lieutenant in the Medical Reserve Corps of the Army of the United States." Signed at the conclusion in ink by President Taft and countersigned by Acting Secretary of War Robert Shaw Oliver. The blue War Office seal affixed to the lower left remains intact. Framed and in fine condition.
