In part: "I am in receipt of your kind invitation to dine with you as a member of The Class Club on the 20th instant, and I thank you for your continuous remembrance. I regret exceedingly that a prior engagement prevents my acceptance of your invitation." Nicely matted and framed with an engraved portrait (bearing a facsimile signature) to an overall size of 15.5 x 12.5. In fine condition.
