He later became an ardent supporter of McCarthyism, and served as an editor for Reader's Digest. Vintage glossy 8 x 10 close-up photo of Max Eastman by Editta Sherman, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, "For H. M. Fay, with all good wishes—Max Eastman.” Reverse bears an Editta Sherman credit stamp, and is annotated in pencil: "Received May 26, 48." In fine condition.
