UK Parlophone 45 RPM vinyl pressing of the 1965 Beatles EP 'Yesterday,' signed on the reverse in black ink by Paul McCartney. The consignor notes that the signature dates to 1983. In fine condition. The record is included.
Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks, and by a letter of provenance from the original recipient, which reads: "In 1983, Paul McCartney made a rare appearance on Saturday evening live BBC TV. Sorry, I do not know the exact date, though I believe it was around the time of the release of Say, Say, Say. At the time, I was a young teenager, living in London, who liked to collect autographs, particularly of those in the music industry. The BBC Radio Centre in Portland Place, near Oxford Circus and The BBC TV Centre at White City were the places I went to mostly, on Saturdays and during the school holidays. On that day, I took 4 Beatles singles with me, in the hope I might meet with him. Paul McCartney turned up very early at the front gates to the BBC TV Centre, sitting in the front passenger seat of a red estate car, driven by, I believe, Linda McCartney. There was someone in the back, but I could not see who. I gave him the singles and he was able to hand sign them all."
