THE SUM AND SUBSTANCE would, I feel, be particularly interesting to do—the subject matter you outline is one that is of deep concern to me and one to which I have given considerable thought. It is, therefore, with much reluctance that I say that the demands upon my time, in the new association I have made here, are such that I cannot reasonably undertake at this time even one more responsibility. I hope I may have an opportunity to view at least some of the series. The partial list of those participating is impressive, indeed, and I am certain the wisdom they have to share with others, regardless of their ages, will benefit all who can be so exposed."
