Limited edition 8.25 x 11.75 lithograph of David Bowie's self-portrait sketch based on the front cover of his 1977 album Heroes, numbered 3/20, signed in the lower right corner in pencil, “Bowie, 95.” In very fine condition. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Bowie expert Andy Peters, and by a letter of provenance: “Bob Williams of EMI Records in 1994 got in touch with Kate Chertavian, David’s art consultant. David kindly signed 20 Heroes lithographs in 1995, they were numbered 1-20. This is number 3. This is a very rare item. It was two years before Bowienet and Bowieart which Kate Chertavian set up…the twenty lithographs were given to sales team at EMI Management etc.”
