King of Prussia (born 1770) who reigned from 1797 until his death in 1840; he aimed to unify Prussia's Protestant churches, and was humiliated by Bonaparte during the Napoleonic Wars. Manuscript DS in German, one page, 8.25 x 10.25, March 13, 1824. Untranslated document signed at the conclusion by Frederick William III. In fine condition, with toning to edges.
