Naturalist and writer (1910-1980) whose book, Born Free, describes her experiences raising a lion cub named Elsa. Born Free was printed in several languages, and made into an Academy Award-winning movie. Vintage matte-finish 8.5 x 6.5 full-length photo of Adamson up close and personal with Elsa the lion, signed and inscribed in black felt tip, "For M. Robuck—with kind regards, Joy Adamson." In very good to fine condition, with a vertical crease to the left side.
