Peruvian painter (1896-1982) of pin-up girls, remembered for his work with the Ziegfeld Follies, Esquire, and Playboy; he is widely considered the most famous of the pin-up artists. Color 8.25 x 11 magazine page featuring a classic "Chica de Vargas" in a nude full-frontal pose with her arms spread wide, signed and inscribed in black ballpoint, "To Dr. Martin, Best Wishes, Alberto Vargas." The image has an imprinted captioned in Spanish (translated): "I could describe it better if I had longer arms." Affixed to a larger sheet and in very good to fine condition, with light creasing and wrinkling.
