ALS, two pages on two adjoining sheets, 3.75 x 6, February 23, 1902. Handwritten letter, in full: "I cannot be at the club tomorrow, but I hope that you will be there. You have heard of Mrs. Tust's death. It might be well to make some mention of her, or possibly to defer this tom a time when I would be present. I think you might express our regret at hearing of her death." In fine condition, with a small rusty paperclip impression to the top edge.
