Vintage glossy 8 x 10 Monogram Pictures publicity photo of Atwill for the 1934 film Beggars in Ermine, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, "To Ed, Sincerely, Lionel Atwill." In very good to fine condition, with a couple of noticeable diagonal creases the upper left and lower right. An attractive portrait of the esteemed English actor, who after coming to Hollywood in 1932 appeared in a number of horror films and mysteries, such as the one-armed Inspector Krogh in Son of Frankenstein, as Dr. James Mortimer in The Hound of the Baskervilles, and as Professor Moriarty in Sherlock Holmes and the Secret Weapon.
