Signer of the Declaration of Independence from Delaware (1734-1817) who later served as president of the Continental Congress, Chief Justice of Pennsylvania, and Governor of Pennsylvania. Partly-printed vellum DS, signed “Tho's M:Kean,” one page, 20.25 x 12, August 18, 1806. As governor of Pennsylvania, McKean grants John Walker and John Meyer a "certain tract of land called 'Goshen,' situate in Londonderry township, Dauphin county." Signed in the upper left by Governor McKean and countersigned at the conclusion by James Trimble as deputy secretary. The seal affixed to the upper left remains intact. In fine condition, with a few tiny holes.
