Ellery,” 2.5 x 3.5, reading: “The Possessor of this Bill shall be paid by the General-Treasurer of the Colony of Rhode-Island, Five Shillings, Lawful Money…the eighteenth Day of March, A.D., 1776.” Signed at the conclusion by William Ellery.
