Description

Partly-printed vellum DS as president, one page, 13 x 9.75, November 27, 1820. President Monroe grants to "John Sullivan, Brother…of Daniel Sullivan, dec'd, late a private in Flemmings Company third Regiment of Infantry, a certain Tract of Land, containing One hundred and Sixty acres…in the Tract appropriated…for Military Bounties in the Territory of Arkansas/formerly Missouri." Signed at the conclusion by President Monroe and countersigned by Commissioner of the General Land Office Josiah Meigs. The white paper seal affixed to the lower left remains fully intact. In very good condition, with light soiling and toning, a split to the bottom of the central vertical fold, and small areas of paper loss along the horizontal folds.
